An Atlanta woman showed how she responded to finding out her boyfriend was cheating on her. Spoiler alert: It involved heading to Lowe’s.
TikTok user Lo (@lfchristine) found out her boyfriend was cheating on her about a month ago. In a video posted on Aug. 28, she shows her followers exactly how she decided to respond while he was out on a work trip.
The video starts with a clip of Lo inside the box aisle at Lowe’s as she picks up moving boxes. “My favorite animal is me when I found out my boyfriend was cheating, so I packed up all my s— and left while he was on a work trip,” she writes in the on-screen text.
What Does This Woman Do When She Discovers Boyfriend Is Cheating?
The next clip is of Lo in the couple’s kitchen packing up. “Utensils/bowls,” she writes in the on-screen text. “All that gotta go. He doesn’t deserve a cup to drink out of.”
Next, she shows off a mostly empty living room, writing, “All the furniture was mine, so that had to go too.”
After that, she takes a moment to celebrate with a friend. “Quick cheers with my bestie while we pack,” she writes.
The next series of clips is Lo’s dog looking on in confusion, more packing, and more wine drinking. Of course, she also takes some time to blast Beyonce’s cheating anthem, “Best Thing I Never Had.”
As she loads up the last of her things, she writes, “Vibes are great. He’s about to come home so getting the last of everything.”
How Did The Boyfriend Respond?
One thing Lo did leave behind was a home security camera. The audience watches along with her as the boyfriend arrives home from his trip, pauses in confusion at the empty apartment, and finds printed evidence of his cheating she left behind.
“I faked things for weeks pretending like I didn’t know so he would think everything was fine,” Lo writes. “Finding the printed out evidence I left of his cheating to help clear up confusion.”
Not to mention she also left him a 10-page letter detailing exactly how his recent and past actions impacted her. The boyfriend takes a moment to reflect and then “proceeds to call his cousin and completely lie about what happened,” Lo says.
The next clip is of her boyfriend’s “crashout” Instagram story response. “Moral of the story, their disrespect is the closure. Leave while you can,” she writes.
Viewers React To The Woman’s Response
In the comments, many women celebrated how Lo handled the situation and said they enjoyed watching the boyfriend get what they view as his comeuppance.
“Finally someone attaching the video of the aftermath,” wrote one person. “10/10, girl.”
“The full Ring cam video?? Girl gave us EVERYTHING,” wrote a second person (A Ring representative confirmed with BroBible that the video was not recorded on a Ring device).
A third user posted a photo of a shocked-looking bird. “Him looking at the evidence with nowhere to sit down,” they wrote.
It’s generally legal to place a recording device in common areas of shared living spaces, such as an Airbnb living room. However, this behavior can quickly veer into illegality. A woman in San Diego was charged with wiretapping, eavesdropping, and invasion of privacy after allegedly livestreaming her ex-husband and his family for 44,000 minutes.
It’s also important to note whether the state where you’re recording is a one-party or two-party state—meaning how many people in a conversation need to be aware that a recording is taking place. If you’re recording in a two-party state, like Georgia, the law says both parties need to be aware. Additionally, Georgia law forbids the use of hidden video cameras to record another person “out of public view” unless the person recording has consent.
