‘Help A Girl Out’: Boston Woman’s Boyfriend Sends Her A Picture From A Restaurant. Then She Spots A Pink Owala Water Bottle Across From Him

Apparently, there’s more to the pink viral water bottles than storing your water or choice of drink. They can expose a cheater, too. At least, that’s according to a girlfriend on TikTok who noticed something suspicious in the background of the photo her boyfriend sent her: a pink Owala bottle. Now users are clamoring for a confrontation, but was it proof of infidelity? Or something merely harmless?

What Did Her Boyfriend Send Her?

In a viral TikTok, user @rodwavesmaingirl shares a slideshow of a text message exchange between her and her long-distance boyfriend.

“Casually texting my man and he decides to send this,” she writes in the text overlay. The man in question sent her a photo of his plate while eating at a restaurant. What catches her eye, however, aren’t the nuggets and fries in front of him. A pink Owala water bottle sits at his 11 o’clock, beside another plate of fries. The rest of the photos in the slideshow are zoomed-in pictures of the Owala bottle.

“Help a girl out,” @rodwavesmaingirl adds in the caption.

Viewers don’t miss what @rodwavesmaingirl is implying: that the pink Owala bottle is for another lady who isn’t his loving long-distance girlfriend. They were quick to resort to violence as justice for the potential infidelity.

“Yeah just pull up and whoop him,” a top comment read. While another added, “I’d text back she can have u.”

Others noticed that the photo was a Live Photo, which meant @rodwavesmaingirl could press and hold the photo, and she would be able to hear the sound and see a few seconds of video.

A handful of other commenters thought she was merely creating a tempest in a teapot and told her as much.

As one user wrote, “If it was something worth hiding he wouldn’t have pointed his camera at it.” Another added, “It looks like there’s a third person at the table because she wouldn’t be sitting across the table like that if it was just her and him.”

At least one user offered an explanation that had nothing to do with another girl being there.

“Everyone saying this is a girls waterbottle…? just because it’s pink?” they argued. “My husband carries a pink ghost face waterbottle that is covered in hearts because I bought it as a gift for him. So men can have pink things?”

Can Pink Bottles End Relationships?

This isn’t the first time a pink water bottle has been at the crux of a relationship trial. In July, a woman interrogated her husband after finding a pink Stanley Cup inside his work truck. The husband claimed it was for his co-worker, and the woman didn’t believe him until he called up the co-worker, who admitted he uses his girlfriend’s Stanley Cup. She has since deleted the video, but not before admitting she may have been overreacting.

As for @rodwavesmaingirl, her clip may have earned 1.5 million views, but she has yet to share an update, so it is unclear whether she indeed caught her boyfriend being unfaithful. It’s possible he was with just a friend, or indeed the bottle could have belonged to the other young man in the picture. But that would make it less juicy for the TikTok investigators, wouldn’t it?
