Now that Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has escaped his federal trial without being charged of the most serious offenses he faced, the disgraced rapper and producer is reportedly going on the counter-offensive. According to reports, Diddy has filed a $100 million defamation lawsuit.

According to reports, Diddy — who remains in prison as he awaits his sentencing hearing — filed a First Amendment Complaint in the U.S. District Court on August 6 against Courtney Burgess, Ariel Mitchell and Nexstar Media, Inc., the owners of the NewsNation network.

Diddy — who is seeking a jury trial and at least $100 million — is accusing Burgess of falsely claiming that they possessed videos of Combs “involved in the assault of celebrities and minors” and the network NewsNation of “recklessly repeated and amplifying his lies as if they were true.”

Additionally, Burgess’ attorney Ariel Mitchell has also been named in the lawsuit, with Diddy accusing her of “knowingly repeating false statements on national television.”

“This case is about Defendants’ willful schemes to fabricate and broadcast outrageous lies concerning Mr. Combs and then to leverage those falsehoods to enrich themselves, gain social media fame, promote their brands, strip Mr. Combs of his reputation and livelihood, and jeopardize his right to a fair trial,” Diddy’s complaint reads, according to Complex.

“As a result, millions of people have come to believe in the made-up ‘evidence’ that Defendants have falsely described and vouched for. The torrent of lies, and the immeasurable harm and prejudice it has caused to Mr. Combs must be remedied,” the document asserts.

While Diddy was acquitted of his two most severe charges, racketeering conspiracy and trafficking, he was found guilty of two counts related to the transportation of individuals for prostitution, which means he faces up to 20 years in prison. As a result, reports indicate that Diddy is looking to buy a pardon off of Donald Trump for a “mid-six figure sum.”
