The fallout from the arrest of disgraced rapper and producer Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has continued months after he was arrested by Homeland Security officers in a New York City hotel on September 16.
One of the most headlining grabbing aspects of Diddy’s arrest and indictment are the allegations of elaborate sex parties called “Freak Offs,” which have garnered extensive media coverage since Combs was arrested in September.
According to the New York Post, Diddy once spent $500,000 to install a room full of mirrors at one of these illicit shindigs.
“A planner told The New York Post that Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ Freak Off sex parties weren’t cheap: He once spent around $500,000 on mounting mirrors on the walls and ceiling of his home so he could get a better view of the debauchery.”
After the party, the mirrors were then removed from Diddy’s home. The source added that without the mirrors, his parties would cost around half-a-million dollars.
“They cost about $500,000 per party. This is for both the mainstream part, and then the sex party afterwards… Great food, expensive alcohol, dancers, acrobats, models. Sometimes we had live animals, sometimes different performers. It all added up, but he didn’t care.”
Diddy has been charged with sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution.
After he was arrested, he pled not guilty, was denied bail, and taken to the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, where he recently celebrated his 55th birthday and will remain until his trial, which is currently scheduled to begin in May 2025.
If found guilty of the federal charges that have been filed against him, Combs — who could still be the subject of further allegations and lawsuits in the coming months — faces a minimum of 15 years and a maximum of life in prison.
