Derrick Lee Cardello-Smith, a 55-year-old Michigan Department of Corrections that’s suing Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs over an alleged assault in 1997, is planning to call Jennifer Lopez to the witness stand. Diddy and Lopez dated from 1999 to 2001.

According to reports, Cardello-Smith plans to call Jennifer Lopez to testify because he believes she “has information about his [alleged] assault” at the hands of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs.

Cardello-Smith alleges that he met Diddy at a party while working as a bartender. Cardello-Smith claims Diddy spiked his drink, with the next thing he remembers being “”waking up to Diddy having sex with another woman. Diddy then allegedly said “I did this to you too!”

The lawsuit, which sees Cardello-Smith seeking $400 million in damages, also claims that the government conspired with Diddy to cover up the alleged crimes.

“Derrick Lee Cardello-Smith, who sued Diddy, 55, over accusations the mogul assaulted him at a Holiday Inn in Detroit, name dropped Jennifer, 55, in recent court documents obtained by InTouch.”

Despite occasional prodding from paparazzi photographers, Lopez has yet to answer any questions about Diddy since he was arrested on federal charges in September. Earlier this year, it was reported Lopez is “on the run” from answering questions about Diddy.

Following his September arrest, Diddy, who pled not guilty to his charges, has been held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, which also houses FTX fraudster Sam Bankman-Fried and alleged Brian Thompson killer Luigi Mangione.

Diddy’s lawyer Marc Agnifilo, in fact, has joined Mangione’s defense teamas it’s being headed up by his wife Karen Friedman Agnifilo/

If convicted during his trial, which is set to begin in May, the disgraced rapper and producer faces a minimum of 15 years and a maximum of life in prison.
