A draft horse from North Carolina is the newest star on TikTok. The massive four-legged mammal was bred for one purpose: to pull weight.

You have (probably) never seen a bigger stallion!

This viral horse, who has yet to be named publicly, recently arrived to its new home. He got right to work!

What is a draft horse?

Also known as a dray horse, carthorse, work horse or heavy horse, a “draft horse” is specifically bred to handle heavy agricultural tasks such a plowing and hauling. There are a number of different breeds.

The most popular breeds in North America include: Morgan, American Cream Draft, Belgian Draft, Clydesdale, Percheron and Shire. The Shire is largest and Morgan is the smallest. The Clydesdale is the most famous because of Budweiser.

Even though they are massive creatures, draft horses are actually known to be very patient and docile. They want to work hard and they will always follow commands. And yet, they are just as friendly when they are off the clock as their more domesticated counterparts.

In terms of size, a draft horse typically stands between five and six feet tall at a weight of 1,400 to 2,000+ pounds. To compare, the average thoroughbred racehorse typically maxes out at five feet tall at a weight of just 1,000 pounds at its heaviest.

Bigger, stronger, faster!

This specific horse went viral on TikTok out of Trinity, North Carolina. It belongs to Heather Stevens and her husband Josh.

I cannot say for certain but I believe he is of the Percheron breed because of his grey coloring. Regardless of what he is or isn’t, he is big. Very, very, very big.

Massive, even! Get a load of this fella as he got out of his trailer at his new home earlier this week:

That’s a large horse! You can practically feel the earth shaking through the screen as he stomps around his new stomping grounds.

People on TikTik are awestruck by his size.

“This gentleman has his own zip code,” commented Kersey.

“2 bushels of oats, 8 gallons of water and A Guinness Stout,” said steamer.

“Amazing, however, don’t even want to think of the feed bill,” quipped saiboat996.

It is even more fun to watch the North Carolina draft horse do what he was born to do — pull. The amount of power underneath him is remarkable.

According to America First Newsroom, a single draft horse can typically pull a load up to 8,000 pounds. They can pull up to 24- or 32,000 pounds when working in harmony as a pair.

Heather and her husband get their horses out in the field as often as possible for training. The goal is always to get bigger, stronger and faster. More weight, less time.

Even their young daughter is starting to get a hang of it!

I hope we get to see more of this newest addition to the farm. I have never seen a bigger horse in my life.
