If you think Sopranos star Drea de Matteo tasking her 13-year-old son with editing the bikini photos she sells on an adult subscription site is weird (it is), hold on to your hats. Because in a recent interview she went full conspiracy theory truther talking about chemtrails, cloud seeding, and other nonsense that has been frequently disproved.
Seriously, the 53-year-old former actress has her teen son edit her bikini pics for people to pay money to look at online – a site that she says he hates. She has also implied that Hollywood is going to have her killed over her political opinions and her anti-vaccine stance.
But that’s not why we’re here today. Today, we’re here to discuss Drea de Matteo’s hot takes on everything conspiracy.
During her recent appearance on something called the Not Today, Pal podcast, which is apparently hosted by two other former Sopranos stars (Robert Iler and Jamie-Lynn Sigler… wow, they’re careers have skyrocketed since the hit HBO drama), de Matteo said that at some point soon, based on her vast knowledge of chemtrails, “Democrats are going to come out and normalize geoengineering the weather.”
For the uninitiated, chemtrails are what kooks call the condensation trails left in the sky by jets that are supposedly the cause of respiratory illnesses and other health problems. Those issues are wrought by the trails in the sky really being tools of things like weather modification, psychological manipulation, human population control, biological or chemical warfare. None of this is true.
Part of her proof that the government is involved is such nefarious projects is that President Lyndon Johnson once said, “He who controls the weather, will control the world.” That is understandable since he was referring to the U.S. military seeking to control clouds and storms as weapons during the Vietnam War. An act that resulted in the 1978 United Nations Convention on the Prohibition of Military or any other Hostile Use of Environmental Modification Techniques.
If she had stopped there, she would have been okay. But she didn’t.
“You don’t need to start f—— wars,” Drea de Matteo continued. “There is a way more insidious way to hurt mankind or to leverage the sky. You can control the crops, you can control the food, you can control the water supply, you can control the water quality.”
She even claimed Hollywood has been complicit in these acts by inserting “the (cloud) crisscrosses in the sky in old movies, so you can’t say it’s new.”
