The road to freedom just got a little bit tougher to traverse for Sean Combs. That’s because federal prosecutors just added two more charges to Diddy’s indictment.

Among the new allegations levied in the third superseding indictment against Diddy are claims that he engaged in trafficking as recently as 2024. He was previously charged with racketeering conspiracy; sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion; and transportation to engage in prostitution. This new indictment adds another count of trafficking and one more for prostitution.

The Associated Press reports that the new indictment accuses Diddy of using force, fraud, or coercion to compel a woman to engage in commercial sex acts from at least 2021 to 2024. It also accused Combs of transporting the woman, identified as Victim-2, and others for the purpose of prostitution.

Combs “willfully caused the transportation of multiple individuals, including but not limited to Victim-2 and commercial sex workers, in interstate and foreign commerce on multiple occasions with the intent that they engage in prostitution,” the indictment reads.

Diddy is scheduled to stand trial on May 5th. Prosecutors have requested that an arraignment on the new charges it be held at Diddy’s pretrial conference on April 25th. Four accusers are expected to testify at the trial, including Combs’ long-term girlfriend, currently identified only as “Victim-1,” but it is expected that she will testify under her real name.

In February, a member of Diddy’s legal team abruptly resigned, writing, “Although I have provided Sean Combs with the high level of legal representation expected by the court, under no circumstances can I continue to effectively serve as counsel for Sean Combs.”

Sean Combs has also filed two lawsuits this year from jail. In the first lawsuit, Diddy filed a $50 million defamation lawsuit against grand jury accuser Courtney Burgess, his attorney Ariel Mitchell, and Nextstar Media. In the second, the rapper sued NBCUniversal and the production company Ample for $100 million over the documentary Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy.

More than 120 alleged victims have come forward with accusations against Combs and filed numerous lawsuits against him. He has denied all of the accusations.

“The government has concocted a criminal case based primarily on allegations that Mr. Combs and two of his longtime girlfriends sometimes brought a third party — a male escort — into their sexual relationship,” Combs’ lawyer Alexandra A.E. Shapiro wrote in a filing submitted to the court in February.
