A man who was terminated from a Jersey Mike’s Subs in the nation’s capital is now claiming that it is unsanitary.

He insists that he’s not exposing the restaurant because he’s “bitter.”

In a TikTok with 2.7 million views as of this writing, @pablomikeee first films a bag of Miss Vickie’s sea salt chips. The bag has a small hole in one corner.

Then the post shows a rat on a glue trap in what appears to be the kitchen of a restaurant. The rat runs away, still attached to the trap, toward metal shelving.

The clip cuts to a second angle, seemingly taken seconds later. A Jersey Mike’s Subs bag is on one of the shelves. Behind it, the rat climbs up them. It seems to have broken free from the glue trap.

“This store just nasty is hell,” @pablomikeee writes in the caption. “…Please help shut this damn store down call the health department asap.”

He alleges that it’s the Jersey Mike’s Subs in Union Station in Washington, D.C.

He continues, “They wanna play with me, so let’s play and see who will have the last laugh.”

In the comments section, @pablomikeee says he wants to get the restaurant, which purportedly fired him either that day or the day prior, per his own admission, shut down.

Comments on his post are filled with horror and disgust.

Another TikTok by @pablomikeee has some seeing things differently. Many people have accused him of having an axe to grind against his former employer.

Jersey Mike’s Subs did not respond to BroBible’s inquiries sent via the contact form on its website or a voicemail left with its marketing department Thursday morning.

A PSA Or Retaliation?

Before he posted the video of the rat, @pablomikeee published a 10-minute storytime.

In it, he claims he was a supervisor at that location.

“They decided today to terminate me because I got into an argument with one of the other supervisors,” he says.

“Thank God I got a backup job,” he adds.

He says that he was fired over text messages he sent the other supervisor. Per @pablomikeee, his manager said the messages made him seem like “the aggressor,” which he denies.

“How am I being terminated because I was the aggressive one? Like in a text message? Come on, be serious,” he says.

He also claims to have video of a rat in the kitchen and reiterates that his goal is to get the Jersey Mike’s shut down.

The creator is adamant that he’s not angry about being fired and says he wanted to quit anyway.

“I’m not even mad about me getting terminated,” @pablomikeee says.

Some people took his allegations that the Jersey Mike’s has rats and roaches at face value.

“And you let me eat there omggggg,” one wrote.

Others aren’t so sure. They’re accusing him of retaliating against his former employer.

“He sound like he bitter. He was a manager,” reads a top comment on the post.

They add, “He got let go. Now he trying to bash them. If it was so bad and you concerned about health conditions, why didn’t you post anything before you got fired?”

@pablomikeee responded, “idc what yall say I can never be bitter at all I still got another job. u like my mother age I’ll get her smack the [expletive] outta you so I advise you pipe it down.” (“GMA” is internet slang for grandma.)

Rat’s Gone Viral

After his video of the rat he claims was inside a Washington, D.C. Jersey Mike’s went viral, @pablomikee posted a follow-up video.

In it, he says he never expected the video to blow up so fast. He urges people to contact the media and keep circulating the post.

Once again, his TikTok solicited comments from people horrified by his allegations and skeptics accusing him of exacting revenge over getting fired.

Some said they’d contacted various authorities to report his claims.

“I work in the Attorney General Office I filled a Complaint and sent a email to the DOH,” wrote one. DOH likely refers to the Department of Health.

Many people defended Jersey Mike’s.

Others fired accusations at the creator. One reads, “So let me ask you a question..had you NOT had beef with your job and been fired would you have made this video still ??”

BroBible contacted @pablomikee via TikTok direct message Thursday morning. He has yet to respond.
