Howard Stern is finally addressing the Sirius XM rumors. Last month, the US Sun dropped a bombshell report in which they claimed that Sirius XM was not going to re-sign Stern due to backlash from his anti-Trump political rants.

Stern’s contract is up in the fall and while Sirius is planning to make him an offer, they don’t intend for him to take it,” one insider said of the impending end to the shock jock’s latest five-year contract.

Sirius and Stern are never going to meet on the money he is going to want. It’s no longer worth the investment.

If Sirius isn’t going to give Stern a good offer, I don’t think it would have anything to do with his ratings,” the source claimed. “It’s more likely everything to do with the political climate.

On Monday, Stern returned to the air and pranked his listeners by having Andy Cohen fill in tomake a fake announcement that he had parted ways with Sirius XM.

Stern eventually got on air and addressed the rumors surrounding his negotiations with Sirius XM.

“Everything you’ve been reading in the paper about me or about Robin is completely false. What pisses me off is now I can’t leave. I’ve been thinking about retiring. Now I can’t because then they’ll say I got pushed out so I’ll be back.
Yeah. Here’s the truth. Sirius XM and my team have been talking about how we go forward in the future. They’ve approached me. They’ve sat down with me like they normally do. And they’re fantastic. We’ve been talking.”

The shock jock said that he is getting interest from Sirius XM’s competitors after the rumors surfaced about his show’s cancellation.”

“But one of the positive things about all this fake news is that I heard from a lot of companies who want to show like well if you’re not at Sirius anymore do you wanna come with us and I thought well that’s really nice.”
