While we’re still awaiting news of who will play the titular role in Amazon MGM’s version of the James Bond movie series, we may already know who will play the iconic “Bond girl” role as the main character’s love interest.

According to a new report, Amazon founder/CEO Jeff Bezos is insistent that his new wife, Lauren Sanchez, plays an integral role in the new movie.

“He’s obsessed,” a Hollywood insider said of the situation. “This isn’t just fantasy casting — Jeff wants her on screen, period.”

There’s just one major problem. Sanchez doesn’t actually have any background in acting. However, that becomes less of a problem when you marry the man who owns the entire production company.

“She’s not an actress,” one studio exec said. “But she’s Jeff’s muse, and when you spend $8 billion, you get what you want.”

The new movie, known only as “Bond 26” at this point, will be directed by Denis Villeneuve (of “Dune” and “Blade Runner 2048” fame) and written by Steven Knight (“Serenity” and “Peaky Blinders”. It will be the first Bond film following the news that longtime lead actor Daniel Craig will not return to his role as 007.

The search for a new leading man to play the iconic role has been on for over a year now, with it recently narrowing to three divisive favorites.

“Insiders say that the studio and producers are interested in casting a British actor under the age of 30, with Jacob Elordi (Saltburn), Tom Holland (Spider-Man) and Harris Dickinson (Babygirl) at the top of the list,” Variety reported. Elordi is Australian, but that would not be a deal-breaker as far as Amazon is concerned; remember Aussie George Lazenby starred in On Her Majesty’s Secret Service.”
