The 2025 Met Gala took place on Monday night with all of the A-Listers in the world descending on the Metropolitan Museum of Art (The Met) in Manhattan’s Upper East Side. This year’s theme “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” which explored fashion trends that shaped Black identities with a particular focus on Black dandyism.
Jeff Goldblum, a modern fob dandy if there ever was one, wore a $1.2M Jacob and Co. Ashoka Boutique watch with 162 diamonds.
The imaginary ‘leader board’ was close, but Jeff Goldblum‘s watch appears to have been the most expensive wristwatch worn at the 2025 Met Gala. Pharell was a close second with his Richard Mille RM 74-02 which sells for over $500K. But Jeff Goldblum’s Jacob and Co. Ashoka Boutique watch has 63.29 carats of diamonds throughout and is so bright and shiny that it is legitimately hard to look at under bright lights.

It is a miracle the cameras were able to pick up Jeff’s watch on the red carpet with the bright lights and nonstop cameras flashing. There are so many diamonds on Jeff Goldblum’s wrist he could be seen from outer space.
Other notable wristwatches from the 2025 Met Gala include Saquon Barkley wearing a H. Moser & Cie. Endeavour Tourbillon Concept Vantablack which sells for around $81K. The aforementioned Pharrell Williams watch, of course. Which interestingly, Pharrell wore a shirt tailored so that only the tiniest edge of his watch showed on the red carpet. He didn’t care at all about flashing the $500K+ Richard Mille.

A$AP Rocky wore a Bvlgari’s Octo Finissimo Ultra COSC which is another $500K watch, and only 20 of them were ever made. It truly was a night for the celebs to put their wealth on display and done did it more brightly than Jeff Goldblum with his $1.2M watch.
