Jimmy Kimmel will be off the airwaves for the foreseeable future.

After Kirk’s death, Kimmel went viral when he bashed “MAGA” conservatives on his show.

“We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it” and “This is not how an adult grieves the murder of somebody he [Trump] called a friend. This is how a 4-year-old mourns a gold fish, okay.”

Kimmel received intense backlash for his comments, which led to FCC Chairman Brendan Carr threatening to punish ABC over Kimmel’s comments.

“There’s actions we can take on licensed broadcasters. It’s long past the time that…Comcast and Disney say ‘We’re not gonna run Kimmel anymore…because we licensed broadcasters are running the possibly of fines or licensed revocation from the FCC” said Carr.

CNN is now reporting that Kimmel has been pulled from ABC indefinitely after a large affiliate threatened to pull the show.

“Jimmy Kimmel Live will be pre-empted indefinitely,” an ABC spokesperson said, declining to share any further details.

A representative for Kimmel did not immediately respond to a request for comment. The abrupt announcement came Wednesday evening after at least one major operator of ABC-affiliated stations said it would not broadcast the show “for the foreseeable future.”
