The lovely and talented Kate Beckinsale was on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon this week to talk about her new movie Farming, and after discussing how her short haircut in 1998 helped Jimmy get the gig on Saturday Night Live, and how ridiculously flexible Beckinsale is, Fallon brought up the fact that she thinks she looks just like another celebrity: Ryan Reynolds.

“You said you think you look like another celebrity,” Fallon said to Beckinsale.

“No, I definitely look – I look exactly like Ryan Reynolds,” she responded. “Like, in a shocking way. Like, when sometimes I see a bus going by with a poster, and I think, ‘Damn, I look hot. Oh, wait. It’s not me. Also, I never did that movie. Like, I’ve been at home.'”

“Do you see it? It’s weird, right?” she asks Jimmy, who says he does not. “You don’t see it? I’ve wrestled with how – obviously, he’s not even, like, a sort of slightly girly, boy-band type – he’s like a big Canadian man. And I really see myself in him.”

When Fallon asked her if she’s ever worked with Reynolds she replied, “No. I can’t be in the same room as him. One of us would I think explode or something would happen. But I have had, like, boyfriends be in the same room as him when I wasn’t there and feel really compromising or feel, like, way too intimate.”

Welp, my day is officially ruined.

But seriously, how is this even possible?
