It’s been a few years since the “Liver King” took the internet by storm before fading from the online spotlight. However, he’s been thrust back into it after posting a series of troubling clips where he targeted Joe Rogan before being arrested in Austin, Texas.
Brian Johnson, the man most people know as “Liver King,” started to amass a sizeable following toward the start of the 2020s thanks to videos where he consumed massive amounts of the raw meat and animal organs he claimed played a key role in his ability to cultivate the impressively jacked physique he routinely showed off while showcasing his grueling workout routines.
It seemed too good to be true, and that turned out to be the case.
In 2022, he was forced to admit his muscles were not actually au naturel but rather the product of a steroid and HGH regimen that cost him over $10,000 a month—a revelation that led to him being hit with a $25 million lawsuit that asserted he’d defrauded people who bought the products he peddled and getting clowned on by Joe Rogan.
In May, the Netflix documentary series Untold dropped an episode devoted to the Liver King saga, and Johnson’s social media accounts were uncharacteristically quiet in the wake of the video he released when it came out. However, that is firmly no longer the case as of this weekend.
On Sunday, Johnson dropped the first of the more than two dozen videos that were uploaded to his Instagram in the span of three days after turning his attention to Rogan and challenging the podcaster to fight him in a string of rambling diatribes.

That included one clip where he called out Rogan while targeting the creators of the Netflix documentary while holding a couple of guns. The posting spree attracted plenty of commenters who called his current mental state into question, which was an understandable reaction based on the fairly erratic nature of his rants.
Things took another turn on Tuesday when a video shot at a hotel in Austin showed Johnson getting dressed while preparing to meet the police who were apparently waiting for him outside, which culminated with another one that captured him being placed into the back of an SUV while handcuffed.

According to KXAN, Johnson was charged with making a “terroristic threat,” a misdemeanor, although it’s currently unclear who the target was. The story is still developing, and this article will be updated if that information comes to light.
UPDATE: According to TMZ, Rogan was indeed the target of the threat in question.
