Luis Guzman Shades Jennifer Lopez By Saying She’s Just ‘Okay’ Compared To ‘Beautiful’ Co-Stars

Netflix

Veteran actor Luis Guzman does not seem to be a fan of his former co-star Jennifer Lopez. While out promoting the second season of Wednesday, Guzman shaded Lopez so thoroughly that it sparked visible discomfort from the co-stars he was filming the video with.

In a “Hot Ones Versus” video — a Hot Ones spin-off that sees celebrities face off against each other in a game where they must either answer a question or eat a hot wing — Luis Guzman was asked to describe some of his most famous former co-stars with a single word.

The clip that’s gone viral shows Guzman giving one-word descriptions of Adam Sandler (“amazing”), Catherine Zeta Jones (“bellissima”), and Jennifer Lopez. When it came time to summarize Lopez, however, Guzman just said that she was “Okay.”

Guzman starred alongside Lopez in Steve Soderbergh’s 1998 film Out of Sight, which featured George Clooney in the lead role. As for Catherine Zeta Jones, Guzman has starred alongside her in both Netflix’s mega-hit Wednesday and Steven Soderbergh’s 2000 film Traffic, which saw the director win the Academy Award for Best Director.

He also shouted out Adam Sandler, whom he’s starred alongside in Punch-Drunk Love (another Soderbergh movie!), Anger Management, and The Do-Over.

After featuring as a recurring part in season one of Wednesday, Guzman’s character Gomez Addams — Wednesday‘s father and Morticia’s passionate lawyer husband — has been elevated to a series regular for season two, which premiered on Netflix on August 6.

Only the fist four episodes of Wednesday‘s second season dropped on August 6, however, with the latter half of the season premiering on September 3. Netflix officially renewed the popular series for a third season in early August, just days after the premiere of season two.
