New footage taken from a commercial plane traveling from Chicago O’Hare International Airport to Newark Liberty International Airport has added even more mystery to the recent sightings of UFOs and drones all over the United States. The video, taken by a passenger on the flight, shows at least four glowing orbs moving and hovering well above the clouds.
Earlier this month, video and images of an orb-shaped UFO allegedly taken by a co-pilot on a runway at Manchester Airport in Great Britain caused a stir online. While this particular orb-shaped UFO was spotted near the ground, a group of scientists and researchers formed by NASA to study UFOs announced last year that a large number of unexplained metallic orbs have been spotted at high altitudes all over the world.
This new UFO footage comes hot on the heels of mysterious drones causing the shutdown of airspace over Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio and a spate of other sightings of unexplained drones over the Staten Island area in New York and New Jersey, as well as in San Diego County and other parts of Southern California, in Bowie, Maryland, and at Ramstein Air Base in Germany.
The witness, going by the name of Ed, who shot this new orb-shaped UFO video told The Express, “I started noticing the objects about 20 minutes into the flight and then towards the end of the flight. The objects show more detail than I noticed with my naked eye.”
Analysis of the airliner’s flight plan suggests that it would have been flying over Detroit at around the time of the sighting. With the cloud layer estimated at a height of between 8,000 and 12,000 feet, it’s unlikely that any commercially-available drone would be able to hold station at the apparent altitude of those objects.
While it’s possible that the objects in Ed’s clip are other airliners, the Flight Radar doesn’t show any commercial flights in that region at the time of recording.
National Security Council spokesman John Kirby stated this week, while addressing the recent rash of strange drone sightings, “We assess that the sightings to date include a combination of lawful commercial drones, hobbyist drones and law enforcement drones, as well as manned fixed-wing aircraft, helicopters and even stars that were mistakenly reported as drones.
“We have not identified anything anomalous or any national security or public safety risk over the civilian airspace in New Jersey or other states in the Northeast, the work continues.”
New Jersey Congressman Chris Smith disagreed, claiming this week that the drones are being flown by a “major military power.”
“The elusive maneuvering of these drones suggests a major military power sophistication that begs the question whether they have been deployed to test our defense capabilities — or worse — by violent dictatorships, perhaps maybe Russia, or China, or Iran, or North Korea,” he claimed.
New Jersey Congressman Jeff Van Drew had earlier claimed that “very high sources, very qualified sources, very responsible sources” told him that they suspect the drones are connected to an Iranian “mothership” stationed off the East Coast of the United States.
None of those explanations, however, explain the glowing orb-shaped UFOs that were filmed on the commercial flight from Chicago to Newark.
