A Pizza Hut customer in North Carolina is calling out the chain after she received just two pizza slices after ordering a $2 personal pan pizza.
In a viral TikTok, Pizza Hut customer Minyatti (@minyatti) stands in her kitchen with two boxes of “personal pan pizzas” on the counter. The personal pan pizza is an individual-sized pizza, served in a small pizza box.
“Pizza Hut, what is this?” Minyatti asks in the clip. The video has been viewed more than 698,000 times.
She opens up the first box, revealing two buffalo chicken pizza slices inside. “This is supposed to be personal pans,” she exclaims.
Then, she moves over to the other pizza box and unveils two pepperoni slices inside.
“This is a slice,” the content creator says. “What is going on?”
Minyatti reiterates her confusion in the caption, writing, “I could be trippin but this is not a person pan pizza, this is half a slice.”
Why Did This Happen?
Customers who have ordered the $2 personal pan pizzas said they were met with similar results.
“Girl [and I] sent it right tf back ! [Because this] is not what I ordered,” one viewer said.
“They did me like that too,” another remarked.
Many Pizza Hut employees explained that workers likely improvised to keep up with the extreme demand for the deal. Workers online have been very vocal about the added strain the $2 personal pan pizzas have put on them.
“Someone who works at Pizza Hut here! They probably did that because they ran out of dough. A medium pan is equivalent to 4 personal pans!” one commenter stated.
“I work at Pizza Hut we probably ran out of personal pans cuz it was really bad on Tuesday and had to start giving out like mediums and stuff so they probably did something like that,” another suggested.

“We are making the pizzas in advance now to keep up with demand. Our location made 125 pizzas on Monday for the Tuesday promotion. We just warm them when the order come in,” a third explained.

What Is The $2 Personal Pan Pizza?
Pizza Hut has been offering a $2, one-topping personal pan pizza for carryout on Tuesdays. The promotion was launched on July 8 and was supposed to only run through the rest of the month. However, it was so popular that the chain offered it once more in August.
On its site, Pizza Hut notes some caveats:
- The promotion is only valid at participating locations and while supplies last.
- If you order more than one topping, you will be charged extra.
- Marinara is the only sauce available in this promotion.
- There’s a 4-personal pan pizza limit per customer.
