Rock legend Ozzy Osbourne has passed away at the age of 76. On Tuesday afternoon, Osbourne’s family released a statement announcing his death.

“It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love.”

Osbourne’s death comes just weeks after he reunited with Black Sabbath for their farewell performance.

“You’ve no idea how I feel – thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

Osbourne had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2019 and said in an interview then with “Good Morning America” that it had been “terribly challenging.”

“It’s been terribly challenging for us all,” Ozzy Osbourne said. “I did my last show New Year’s Eve at The Forum. Then I had a bad fall. I had to have surgery on my neck, which screwed all my nerves.”

Osbourne stepped back from touring following 2022, but spoke about his desire to do one final show.

“I’m taking it one day at a time, and if I can perform again, I will,” he said. “But it’s been like saying farewell to the best relationship of my life.”

“I’m not going to get up there and do a half-hearted Ozzy looking for sympathy. What’s the [expletive] point in that? I’m not going up there in a [expletive] wheelchair.”
