In case you somehow missed (and I don’t see you could have), on Black Friday holiday our 45th President Donald J. Trump sent out a tweet in which he claimed that Time magazine had contacted him about being their “Person of the Year” for the second year in a row. However, since they were noncommittal about it he told them no thank you.

Time Magazine called to say that I was PROBABLY going to be named “Man (Person) of the Year,” like last year, but I would have to agree to an interview and a major photo shoot. I said probably is no good and took a pass. Thanks anyway!” wrote Trump in his tweet.

A few hours later that day Time magazine posted their own tweet saying that Trump basically made it all up.

“The President is incorrect about how we choose Person of the Year. TIME does not comment on our choice until publication, which is December 6,” tweeted Time.

Guess he just thinks he should be their “Person of the Year” every year…

Anyway, as if that little twitter scrum wasn’t hilarious enough, on Wednesday Buzzfeed’s “AM to DM” sent out this tweet…

Have at it? Why that’s exactly what the internet does best!!

YES. THIS. I am 100% down with BOB NEWBY being named our “Person of the Year.”
