Colorado Family Captures POV Video Of Inside A Bear’s Mouth As It Tried To Eat Their Ring Camera

Estes Park, Colorado is considered by many to be the gateway to the Rocky Mountain National Park and it is absolutely teeming with wildlife year-round. Probably most famous for the abundance of elk, often on the golf course, Estes Park is still home to bears, moose, mountain lions/cougars, bobcats, coyotes, mule deer, and more.

Over on Meta’s Threads, the X/Bluesky competitor, one user from Estes Park, Colorado has been sharing videos from their home’s Ring Camera of all the large creatures that walk past the house. They’ve recently posted videos of bears, bobcats, deer, mountain lions, and elk. But one video in particular has caught me attention and started to go viral.

What It Looks Like To Be Eaten By A Colorado Bear (Ring Camera)

In this clip, a bear actually tries to eat the Ring Camera / Video Doorbell. According to her caption, her husband had changed the batteries on the Ring Camera earlier that day and carried the batteries in the same pocket that he puts dog treats in. Thus, the batteries inside of the Ring Camera smelled like food and the bear wanted that food. Just goes to show how powerful their noses are:

So if anyone out there was ever wondering what it looked like to be eaten by a bear, now you know. And you can now rest easily at night with this knowledge and not concoct some hair-brained scheme to get eaten by a bear. Seriously, do not do that.

For people living in/around the Rocky Mountain National Park this abundance of wildlife is just a part of life but for the rest of us… It is hard to fathom living somewhere that a bear will try and eat your doorbell/camera and mountain lions regularly walk past your front door.
