Bill Burr hosted SNL this past weekend, the sixth episode of the historic 50th season of Saturday Night Live, and he was accompanied by musical guest Mk.gee. This was Bull Burr’s second time hosting SNL but it was a particularly high-profile gig because it was the first SNL episode after the U.S. Presidential Election and there were a lot of eyes on the show.

There are millions of people who watch Saturday Night Live in real-time but there are many more like myself who are either busy or asleep on Saturday night when the show airs and have no interest in sitting in front of a TV at 11:30 PM on a Saturday, and we catch up on the SNL sketches through YouTube or social media. For those folks, I figured we’d throw down some rankings on Bill Burr SNL sketches based on YouTube and TikTok views.

Ranking Bill Burr’s Best ‘SNL’ Sketches

Interestingly, the most-watched clip from Bill Burr’s SNL-hosting gig was ‘SNL for Trump cold open’ and he wasn’t even in that sketch that has 3.6 million views on YouTube so far. The most-watched clip involving Bill Burr was his ‘Stand-Up Monologue which comes in at #1 on the list with 2.0 million views so far (2.9 million on TikTok):

He crushed it. It’s clear that SNL let Bill Burr do his thing with this instead of trying to get in his way and that evidently worked. Hopefully they’ll learn from this with hosts in the future.

At #2 with 1.3 million views on YouTube is my favorite sketch from Bill Burr’s hosting gig, ‘Buffalo Wild Wings.’ While I couldn’t shake the sense that Buffalo Wild Wings paid for this product placement it was a perfect role for Bill Burr as the quintessential ‘Boston’ guy watching football at a sports bar (476K on TikTok):

At #3 we have ‘Rorschach Test’ which has 1.211 million views on the sketch about firefighters taking a psychological test:

Coming in at #4 is ‘Calling Dad,’ a sketch about two guys trying to reconnect with their dads by calling them with 1.1 million vies on YouTube (2 million on TikTok):

Does that make me want to give my dad a phone call? Not really. But it was still a great sketch. Boomer dads are incapable of discussing emotions and they nailed that.

‘Bald Guys’ is #5 on the list with 562K and counting views so far on YouTube:

What do you think, does the YouTube view count align with the rankings? For my money, I’d put Bill Burr’s SNL monologue opening at #2 behind ‘Buffalo Wild Wings,’ I’d rank Rorschach Test at #3 followed by ‘Calling Dad’ and it feels like they could have just cut ‘Bald Guys’ but I’m not bald so maybe it’s a sketch that bald or balding people can relate to.
