‘I Wasn’t Too Sure What To Expect’: New York Woman Spends $80 On Savannah Bananas Game At Yankee Stadium. Is The Experience Worth It?

A New York woman reviewed her Savannah Bananas experience at Yankee Stadium. Was the ticket worth $80?

TikTok user Madyson (@majorleaguemadd) went to one of the exhibition baseball games and shared whether she would go again in a video posted earlier this week.

“Is it worth it to spend $80 on a Savannah Bananas ticket?” she says to start the video. “I attended my first Bananas game on Saturday at Yankees Stadium, and I would say it’s 100% worth it.”

Madyson reveals she purchased her tickets on the online ticketing platform TickPick and sat in Section 424, which she acknowledges is a bit high up. “But the view was spectacular,” she says. “And I had the best experience. Here’s why it was worth every penny.”

Why The Savannah Bananas Game Was Worth $80

The Savannah Bananas are an exhibition baseball team based in Georgia that plays a fast-paced version of America’s favorite pastime. The players wear kilts, bat on stilts, and participate in pre-pitch dances that are popular on TikTok.

In short, Madyson was a fan of the music, dancing, and the overall spectacle of the evening. “My absolute favorite part of the night was the guest performance by Big Time Rush,” she says. “I felt like I was at a concert reliving my childhood. That was not on my bingo card, and it made my night.”

Aside from the 2010s-era pop group, Madyson says, “Everything they do is so funny and entertaining. It’s like you’re watching a sitcom on a baseball field. They really try to include the kids in the night as much as possible, and I love that. The crowd gets so involved. Everyone’s dancing and singing. It doesn’t matter what age or background you come from—everyone is into it.”

Madyson added, “The funniest thing was the dancing empire: That never gets old. They do a bunch of dances throughout the game, in between innings.”

Another highlight of the evening was the 9/11 tribute. “It really meant a lot to everyone, and they did a beautiful job,” she says. “They also honored a bunch of FDNY first responders. On a night that was so fun, it was also quite emotional.”

All in all, Madyson fully enjoyed the evening. “I wasn’t too sure what to expect going into this night, but I had an amazing time,” she says. “It was so different from what I was used to. It was just such a wholesome night.”

In conclusion, she says, “Anyone of any age could go and have a great time. So if you’re ever thinking about getting tickets, I highly recommend it. You will not be disappointed.”

Viewers React To The Savannah Bananas Review

In the comments section, viewers debated whether Madyson really got a deal or if she overpaid.

“As someone who hates the actual game of baseball, yes,” wrote one person. “It totally seems worth it.”

“I can never get tickets,” wrote a second person. “My son really wants to go and they’re always sold out.”

Several people said she paid an upcharge by going through TickPick. The Bananas currently use a lottery system to sell tickets. “Better to try and get tickets through them,” one person wrote. “I recommend joining their K Club membership. You get first shot at tickets.”

The K Club does indeed allow members to purchase up to six tickets for each game ahead of the lottery. Tickets are generally $35-$60, with VIP tickets reaching as high as $100-$125. It also appears that ticketholders resell tickets on Reddit.
