When BroBible hosts screenings for movies we love, it’s not enough to just send out invites, pop the corn, and roll the film. We’ve got too much determination and tenacity. In other words, we’ve got too much “Sisu.” That’s why when it came time for the debut of Sisu: Road to Revenge, we had to pull out all the stops to see if the fans had as much “Sisu” as we did. They did not disappoint.

On November 13, BroBible a special screening of the sequel in Los Angeles hosted by our publisher Brandon Wenerd and legendary Los Angeles morning show host Kevin Klein. As our guests arrived, they were greeted by a grueling obstacle course, followed by a prompt to submit their personal “Sisus”: moments in their lives where they had to show true grit and determination, whether it was good, bad, or downright ridiculous.
Looks intense, but it’s child’s play compared to our Finnish commando hero dismantling Nazis and Soviet bad guys.

About Sisu: Road to Revenge
If you love action movies and haven’t seen the original Sisu, stop everything you’re doing and find a way to watch it. The film follows Aatami Korpi (Jorma Tommila), a Finnish gold miner living alone in the wilderness in 1944 with his dog and horse. He strikes some serious gold and starts heading back to civilization to cash in. There’s just one problem: he runs into a platoon of SS Nazis, and they want that gold real bad.

Sony Pictures
They think they’re lifting this gold off a feeble old man, but they discover that Korpi is a former Finnish Army commando whose exploits fighting the Soviets are the stuff of both legend and nightmare. What ensues is 90 minutes of good-old-fashioned, blood-and-guts action where Nazis get what’s coming to them. Think of Rambo meets Indiana Jones with a simple, yet effective delivery that’s an absolute blast.
We should expect more of the same excitement in the sequel, where Korpi is back after the war to go after the Soviets, including an always-grumpy-looking Stephen Lang:
