Warner Bros. and DC Studios have released a new trailer for the first-ever DCU film Superman. Tickets for Superman were put on sale today, exactly one month out from the film’s release on July 11.

The latest trailer shows off tons of scenes of Superman in action, including the first look at the Last Son of Krypton using his iconic heat vision superpower.

Superman, directed by Guardians of the Galaxy filmmaker James Gunn — who is also the co-CEO and creative shepherd of DC Studios — stars David Corenswet as Kal-El/Clark Kent.

While a new trailer has been released, Warner Bros. has yet to confirm the specific plot details of the film, as the latest plot synopsis simply reads:

“In his signature style, James Gunn takes on the original superhero in the newly imagined DC universe with a singular blend of epic action, humor and heart, delivering a Superman who’s driven by compassion and an inherent belief in the goodness of humankind.”

In addition to Corenswet as the Man of Steel, Superman also stars Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luhtor, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner (a Green Lantern), Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, Wendell Pierce as Perry White, and Frank Grillo as Rick Grillo Sr.

Additional cast members include María Gabriela de Faría, Sara Sampaio, Terence Rosemore, Pruitt Taylor Vince, Neva Howell, Beck Bennett, Mikaela Hoover, and more. You can check out the previously released official trailer for Superman below.

The only other DCU film that has begun (and completed) production is Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, which is currently scheduled to be released in theaters in June 2026.

Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow stars House of the Dragon season one breakout star Milly Alcock in the lead role of Kara Zor-El/Supergirl and is directed by Craig Gillespie known for his films Lars and the Real Girl, Fright Night, Million Dollar Arm, The Finest Hours, I, Tonya, Cruella, and Dumb Money.
