“What kind of example do we want to set here? I mean, can’t we just sit down and eat a piece of pizza together?” – Unarguably, this one line certainly stirs a whole lot of nostalgic emotions for all Breaking Bad fans.

The American crime drama series, across five seasons and 62 memorable episodes, has left an indelible mark in the world of television.

Its legacy, cemented by the show’s finale in 2013, has earned it the title of the greatest television series of all time, a title widely embraced by Breaking Bad’s passionate fan base.

When we think of Breaking Bad, the iconic pizza toss of Walter White, a.k.a. Bryan Cranston, immediately comes to mind. This scene, in addition to the show’s overall popularity, has garnered a dedicated fan following, uniting viewers in their shared love for the series.

Bryan Cranston’s Perfect Pizza Toss Landing In Breaking Bad

It’s impossible to forget the moment when Walter White, in a fit of rage directed at his wife Skyler, tosses a piece of pizza onto his roof, which does end up perfectly landing there without a miss!

While this iconic scene has stayed on with the fans over and over again, did you know that Bryan actually nailed it in one shot?

Bryan Cranston Nailed The Pizza Toss In Just One Shot

Surprised? Yes, it’s absolutely true! The Breaking Bad actor had himself admitted that it was a one-shot take for him, and he did the toss perfectly in one go only.

Speaking on the Rich Eisen Show, the actor had decoded how exactly he perfected a task that could have been just a trick shot.

He had said “I’m holding this thing with two arms going, “Why did you put every topping on top. This is heavy as hell.” So I had to fling it and I go, “How am I going to get it up there?” … And I can’t throw it up there purposefully. It has to be an accident. So I said, “I think I can make it to about here.” And they had a camera up there. Shooting towards it.”

Bryan then went on to recall how he was not aware that the pizza toss was coming out perfectly on the camera.

Sharing his thoughts, Bryan added, “And I just got angry and flung it. And it went flop, right in the place that was perfect. One take. One take, right there. And I heard gasps. But I continued the scene and didn’t look at it. I got in the car and drove away. And I said, “What was that, what happened to the pizza?” They said, “You could not have placed it any better. You could not have thrown it any better than that. We got it. It’s fantastic. Let’s do another take.”

That one unsliced pizza toss became one of television’s most iconic accidents — and it was all thanks to Cranston’s perfect aim in just one take.
