Since crashing out of Hollywood almost a decade ago due to rampant allegations of sexual misconduct and assault, actor Kevin Spacey has done this odd thing in which he’ll record videos in-character as Frank Underwood, his character from House of Cards. For a few years in a row, Spacey released Underwood-themed videos on Christmas Day.

Seemingly aware of Kevin Spacey’s willingness to both reprise the role of Frank Underwood and take any paycheck that will come his way, controversial comedian Tim Dillon recruited the Academy Award winning actor to play the part if a promotional video for his upcoming Netflix special.

House of Cards, which starred Spacey as the politically ambitious, ruthless, and ultimately evil Frank Underwood, was the first original Netflix series, and premiered in 2013.

Given that Netflix severed ties with Spacey following the cavalcade of allegations against him in 2017, the teaser was produced by Dillion and not by the streamer, which is recently debuted Tim Dillon’s new stand-up special.

“You podcasters think you’ve inherited the kingdom. Whispering in ears, swaying elections, spinning the truth like it was cotton candy, when in fact, you’re nothing but a bunch of clowns juggling boner pills and hair tonic… There is no limit to your duplicity, to your pandering, to your shameless and desperate desire to cling to relevance. You’re my kind of bastard,” Spacey says as Underwood.

Dillon certainly seems to have quite an interest in Spacey as he went on a lengthy rant about the disgraced actor last year on both his podcast and Joe Rogan’s podcast.

Since being blackballed from Hollywood, Spacey been  largely working in Italian movies, with his latest project — a film called The Contract in which he plays a character called The Devil — premiering at the Cairo Film Festival last fall. Spacey has also appeared in the Italian film The Man Who Drew God in 2022 and the British independent film Control in 2023.
