A Florida woman says that she recently applied for a job at the casual restaurant chain Twin Peaks. Based on what the manager did during the interview, she’s pretty sure she got the job.
But she still has to go in for a second interview.
Creator Alexus (@drew.alexus) posted the first of multiple TikToks about the process of applying to Twin Peaks on July 12.
She says that she applied online and got an interview almost immediately, which made her conclude that the chain is “desperately hiring.”
“I’m super excited,” she says in a video filmed just before her interview.
Afterward, Alexus updated her audience. In the post, she says that the man who gave her an interview wasn’t there, so she interviewed with a female manager.
“She was super funny,” Alexus says, adding that the woman “hinted” she was halfway through the door.
The manager, she says, handed her a piece of paper to write her availability down—a sure sign that she is likely to get the job.
What Is Twin Peaks?
Twin Peaks is a sports bar and restaurant.
Originally hailing from Lewisville, Texas, the chain takes a page from Hooters’ playbook.
Like Hooters, Twin Peaks is known for hiring attractive young female waitstaff and bartenders. The uniform consists of a low-cut, midriff-revealing red plaid top and khaki or denim shorts. For special events, servers wear similarly styled camouflage tops.
They also reportedly are required to wear lingerie or bikinis for some occasions, like Valentine’s Day.
While Hooters’ sales decline and restaurants close, Twin Peaks has spread rapidly since its founding in 2005.
In 2020, FAT Brands acquired it for $300 million.
Did Alexus Get The Job?
Alexus was right to feel optimistic after her first interview.
In a follow-up, she films herself before and after the second interview.
As it turns out, she says that it wasn’t an interview at all.
“I got hired. I didn’t realize that I was just getting hired today,” she says. “Literally just asked me what my availability was and a quick rundown of my history.”
People who watched her original post would likely be less than surprised.
“Ma’am you’re hired. Quit playing,” one wrote. “I’m a Twin Peaks regular and you are PERFECT.”
Joked another, “Congratulations to the new CEO!”
Alexus did not immediately reply to a TikTok direct message sent by BroBible.
