While Vin Diesel has gotten the court to toss out four employment discrimination claims against him, the Fast & Furious franchise star is still being accused of sexual battery. The accusations come from Asta Jonasson, a former assistant of Diesel’s.

Jonasson first sued Vin Diesel for sexual battery and wrongful termination in 2023, claiming that the 57-year-old pinned her against a hotel suite wall and pleasured himself in front of her in the year 2010.

She was able to bring the charges against Diesel after California governor Gavin Newsom signed the Sexual Abuse and Cover Up Accountability Act in 2023, “which revived certain expired claims of sexual assault dating back to 2009,” according to Variety.

“In a ruling on Tuesday, Judge Daniel M. Crowley held that the law extending the statute of limitations did not extend the deadline to file an administrative complaint, which in 2010 was one year. Therefore, he found that the four claims under FEHA were barred by the statute of limitations.”

“Jonasson also filed claims of retaliation, wrongful termination, sexual battery, negligent supervision and retention and infliction of emotional distress. None of those allegations carries a requirement to file an administrative complaint, and so they were untouched by the judge’s order.”

Diesel, via his lawyer Bryan Freedman, denied the allegations when they were first made and said there is “clear evidence” that refutes Jonasson’s claims.

“It is unfortunate that a person who worked for the company for less than two weeks 15 years ago in another state is allowed to use the California court system to assert such baseless claims,” Freedman said in a statement to PEOPLE earlier this week.

Having most recently starred in Fast X in 2023, the only upcoming projects on Diesel’s slate are Fast X: Part 2, which is currently scheduled to be released in movie theaters in the summer of 2026, and a fourth film in the Riddick franchise.
