‘Am I Being Pranked?’: Woman Says Wendy’s Worker Kicked Her Out Of Drive-Thru Line After She Ordered Too Fast

No matter how much fast food has changed over the years, one detail has remained consistent: It’s fast. However, that doesn’t mean that actually getting your food is always easy.

For example, one White Castle customer attempted to place an order using the store’s AI-powered drive-thru—only for the restaurant to try to charge him $15,400. Another customer said she ordered “tossed” wings from Popeyes, but when her order arrived, there was something so wrong with it that the chain itself apologized.

But for all the issues that plague modern fast food, one would think that speed is not one of them. In a video with over 634,000 views, TikTok user Chancé (@hindirlane) shows that is apparently not the case—though not in the way that one might think.

Can You Order Fast Food Too Fast?

In her video, the TikToker recounts an experience that left her “shaking.”

According to Chancé, she pulled into a Wendy’s drive-thru line in order to get some food after a nail appointment. However, when she pulled up to the empty line, no one greeted her. Eventually, the automatic message played, but still, there was no one on the other end of the speaker.

“I’m like, ‘Hello?’” the TikToker recalls. “Nobody says anything, mind you.”

“Finally, somebody comes on and goes, ‘Give me a minute, OK?’” she adds. In her impersonation, the worker seems agitated. “So I was like, ‘Oh, OK’—taken aback.”

After a few more minutes, the worker gets back on the intercom. Chancé attempts to place her order only to be told, “’We’re out of sandwiches.’”

“And I was like, ‘Wait, what?’ She goes, ‘We’re out of sandwiches.’ I was like, ‘Oh, excuse me?’ And then she goes, we are out of … lettuce for sandwiches,’” the TikToker states. “I said, ‘Oh, OK’—because I was trying to understand what she was saying, ‘cause I thought she said ‘out of sandwiches’ at a sandwich shop.”

While Chancé was processing this information, the worker snapped back, “Do you want it or not?” At this point, the TikToker’s cousin, who was on the phone with her at the time, simply told her, “don’t even eat there.”

As it turns out, the TikToker would not have to make that decision herself. Before she could properly respond, the worker allegedly said, “’You know what? Get the h— out of my line!’”

“I was like, ‘Am I being pranked?’” Chancé recalls. “Literally, I looked over—I’m like, ‘Am I being pranked?’”

The worker then reiterated her demand that the TikToker leave the line.

The Staff Is Confronted

At this point, Chancé is pretty rattled.

“I’m like, ‘This is insane. This is not happening to me,’” she shares.

Consequently, she decided to go inside and attempt to figure out what exactly happened. Inside, she was met with more hostility.

“I’m like, ‘Is the person on the line on the phone your manager?’” Chancé states. “She goes, ‘Yeah.’ I was like, ‘Can I please have her name?’ The lady goes, ‘Nah. What you going to tell her? My name’s Misty.’”

“I was like, ‘OK, Misty. Thank you so much,’” Chancé concludes before letting out an exasperated, “What the h—?”

In the caption, Chancé adds, “@Wendy’s ima need yall to do better with the customer service or rather decent human training.”

She also included the location of the restaurant; BroBible has reached out to Wendy’s via email for comment.

Commenters Support The Customer

In the comments section, most users agreed that the employee’s behavior was unreasonable.

“She might have been having a bad day but that doesn’t excuse her poor behaviour. I hope you reported her to head office,” wrote a user.

“Unfortunately I would have parked my car and go inside of the establishment. I don’t even play like that,” added another.

“That’s insane. I’m sorry that happened to you! Nobody deserves to be spoken to like that,” declared a third.
