Prince passed away today at the age of 57.
The man was truly a legend. No one played a guitar quite like him or wrote a song like him or looked quite like he did and that’s what made him so popular and beloved.
But more interesting than Prince the performer was Prince Rogers Nelson, the man behind the Prince persona. He lived life off stage the same way he did on stage. That’s what makes the Charlie Murphy story from Chappelle’s Show so hilarious. It’s absolutely easy to believe that Prince would be Prince, even in a game of basketball.
The fact that he’s really good at basketball, now THAT, is shocking.
RIP, Prince.
