As a rabid fan of The Big Lebowski, I’m pretty stoked about the Coens Brothers doing another flick about kidnapping and the city of Los Angeles. Today Universal dropped the first trailer for their the Coens’ latest dark comedy noir. It’s called Hail, Ceasar! and features pretty much every movie star ever: Scarlett Johansson, Frances McDorman, Josh Brolin, Jonah Hill, Patrick Fischler, Tilda Swinton, Channing Tatum, Ralph Fiennes, and, of course, George Clooney.
Clooney, however, looks like THE MAN in the movie. He plays a big time movie star in the 50s who ends up the victim of a kidnapping attempt. I’m going to take a wild guess that his character is a degenerate, womanizing drunk a la Humphrey Bogart who says absurd shit like Walter Sobchak.
I can’t wait. Hits theaters February 5, 2016.
