Minnesota isn’t exactly known for being overly friendly to marijuana enthusiasts and cannabis advocates. Possessions of more than 42.5 grams of marijuana within the state of Minnesota is classified as a felony with maximum penalties ranging from 5 to 30 years in prison. Minnesota did legalize medical marijuana back in 2014, and possession of under 42.5 grams (or sale of) is classified as a misdemeanor.
Laws aside, it seems like some Minnesota police officers are taking a more jovial approach to 4/20 (aka Stoner Christmas) than they have in years past. In the wee hours of the morning, the official Twitter account from Wyoming, Minnesota sent out this tweet which immediately won 4/20.
To temper the humor, they followed up that joke with these buzzkill tweets:
You can just stop with your 4/20 jokes now because nothing will be as good as this. Well, maybe this dude’s ironically impassioned plea to end 4/20 jokes forever which itself took on the form of a 4/20 joke:
I think almost every stoner on the planet would agree to those terms.
