Burger King Just Bought Popeyes For $1.8 Billion

Originally started in New Orleans, Popeyes makes the best damn fast food friend chicken on the planet. They have over 2,600 restaurants in the U.S., all serving up incredible red beans and rice and delicious spicy chicken. As of today, it belongs to the Burger King family of restaurants after a $1.6 billion cash-stock acquisition from Restaurant Brands International, the company that owns BK and Tim Hortons in Canada. Fans of the chicken chain are hoping BK keeps it exactly how it is because Popeyes is literally perfect:
