With Valentine’s Day just around the corner and more than 45 percent of all U.S. adults being single, a new study across 27 key indicators of dating-friendliness for all 50 states in America has determined which states are best for single people.

WalletHub, the personal-finance website that conducted a study in 2017 to determine the best cities for singles, compared the 50 states across three key dimensions: 1) Dating Economics, 2) Dating Opportunities and 3) Romance and Fun.

Everyone has different priorities when searching for love, but certain places simply make dating easier than others.

In states with low cost of living, for instance, your income might stretch a lot further, which means cheaper or more frequent dates. If you’re more financially stable, though, you might appreciate a state with more attractions to find new experiences for both you and your potential other half. But dating is also a numbers game, so a state with a higher proportion of single adults automatically improves your prospects.

Here’s what they discovered…

Best vs. Worst
— Louisiana has the highest share of single adults, 53.77 percent, which is 1.3 times higher than in Utah, the state with the lowest at 42.48 percent.
— California has the most fitness and recreational facilities (per square root of population), 0.6093, which is 8.6 times more than in Hawaii, the state with the fewest at 0.0706.
— North Dakota has the lowest unemployment rate for the single population, 4.5 percent, which is 3.3 times lower than in Mississippi, the state with the highest at 14.8 percent.
