The MLB All-Star Game is played annually as a way to recognize greatness on the baseball diamond. The yearly summer event is often a highlight of the Major League season.
Previously, the game had a bit more meaning. The final result had an impact on home-field advantage in the World Series. While that aspect has now been dropped, the All-Star festivities are still enjoyed immensely by fans.
