Aaron Rodgers is talking about his viral moment from over the weekend.

On Sunday before the Jets-Eagles game, a video showing Rodgers warming up on the field and throwing around a football a bit over a month after he suffered a devastating Achilles injury went viral on social media.

On Tuesday, Rodgers made his weekly appearance on the Pat McAfee show to discuss the moment and his injury progress.

According to Rodgers, it was one of his goals to be able to walk around and throw a football one month after his surgery.

“We’re about five weeks since surgery, five weeks since the injury. The first goal was to get back on the field for the October first game, I was hoping without crutches, I wasn’t anywhere close to getting off of them, and then the next goal was to be able throw on the field on the 15th. It’s really just for me to be able to feel more normal, just to be back around the guys, it was incredible to be on the field without crutches…it made me feel not so separated from the team…that was a special moment for me to be really normal, the five weeks for me have been really tough.”

Rodgers credits the power of his mind and his doctor for using an “innovative” surgery on his Achilles to speed up his recovery process.

“I believe in the power of intention, the power of your mind…and willpower, basically this entire I’ve kind of said this is what I’d like to do rehab wise…my doctor Neal ElAttrache did kind of a newer innovative surgery and I asked him if we could push it beyond the normal protocols…Cam Akers had the same surgery and he was able to come back within five months.”

It’s still unclear if Rodgers will be able to comeback in time for the playoffs, but considering how quickly he’s recovering from his injury, I wouldn’t bet against him.
