The Texas A&M Aggies bested rival LSU on Saturday to take control of first place in the Southeastern Conference standings. The team used QB Garrett Nussmeier’s shady comments as motivation!

The Tigers signal caller slighted Kyle Field when asked about the best atmospheres in college football. He refused to place it above Death Valley.

“It’s not even close. Kyle Field is loud, I’ll give them that, but it’s not Death Valley.”

His remarks were used against him in his most recent visit to College Station.

When LSU’s offense had the ball, cameras zoomed in on Nussmeier while flashing his comments across the videoboard. In each case, the home crowd erupted to try and prove the quarterback wrong!

Noise levels reached over 105 decibels at points in the matchup, which led to issues for LSU. The Aggies made it their mission to create a hostile environment.

Communication was a struggle for the Tigers, who saw false starts and botched snaps prevent the offense from getting in a rhythm. Garrett Nussmeier seemed notably rattled.

The passer threw three interceptions in the 38-23 loss. Kyle Field was a mad house!

Nussmeier shouldered the blame after the loss, though he wouldn’t give Texas A&M fans the satisfaction of admitting that the crowd noise was an issue.

“I’ve got to execute better. I’ve got to play better… It’s a tough one. There’s not much else to say. It hurts… I definitely think they made some adjustments at halftime, but like I said, I think I just need to execute better. Take better care of the ball…

“I made a couple mistakes and gave them short fields. Obviously, I’ll beat myself up for that.”

With the loss, LSU fell to 6-2 on the season. The Aggies, meanwhile, improved to 7-1.
