Andy Reid Drops Hilariously On-Brand Quote While Revealing Favorite Halloween Candy

Andy Reid Has Hilarious Response To Halloween Candy Question

It’s become increasingly easy to hate on the Kansas City Chiefs thanks to the juggernaut they became after Patrick Mahomes emerged as one of the NFL’s most formidable quarterbacks while leading them to two consecutive Super Bowl appearances (including the win over the 49ers that brought the Lombardi Trophy back to Arrowhead Stadium for the first time in 50 years).

With that said, I don’t really know how anyone can genuinely dislike Andy Reid, the head coach who’s patrolled the sidelines since 2013 and cemented himself as one of the more lovable (and self-deprecating) figures in the NFL.

After all, we’re talking about a Tommy Bahama aficionado who has a tradition of going into Full Tourist Mode whenever he and his fellow coaches gather for an annual meeting where button-ups, blazers, and polos tend to be the attire of choice.

He’d also be the first person to admit he doesn’t exactly have a slim figure, which is reflected in his impressive ability to down a steak, his decision to celebrate the aforementioned victory in Super Bowl LIV with “the biggest cheeseburger you’ve ever seen,” and deploying a jelly donut in an analogy to describe his time working with Mahomes.

As a result, it’s not too much of a leap to assume he’s someone who appreciates Halloween based on the treats that are traditionally handed out on October 31st—and he confirmed that’s the case while describing his favorite candy as only he can.

Andy Reid went Peak Andy Reid while revealing his favorite Halloween candy

On Monday, KSHB sports reporter Andy Ladd used the fact that it’s All Hallows Eve to ask Reid about his go-to sweet. The coach responded in vintage fashion, saying “Every time I walk past Mr. Goodbar, he calls to me and says, ‘Andy, come eat me.”

Classic Andy.
