Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese caught a vicious stray during an MLB broadcast in the Windy City. Former big league first baseman John Kruk took a swipe while calling a game between the Phillies and White Sox.
Reese responded to the negativity after the fact. She wishes nothing but the worst for Kruk and her haters.
Kruk was in the booth with broadcast partner Tom McCarthy for some late-July baseball in Chi-Town this week. Basketball became the topic of conversation during a 6-0 snoozer.
Reese was soon the victim of an on-air jab.

McCarthy sent out a birthday wish to the wife of a former high school basketball teammate, Bob Wyskowski. He then jokingly took credit for Wyskowski’s success.
“He was a heck of a basketball player,” McCarthy said. “Played at Rider and Monmouth. It’s all because I missed a lot of shots and he cleaned them up.”
It gave Kruk the perfect opening for an Angel Reese comp.
“I don’t want to say anything, but there’s someone here in Chicago that does that a lot,” the MLB personality said.
Reese called Kruk a clout chaser.
clout is one helluva DRUG. like it really gets to a point.

She also wished him nothing but the worst. In a post on TikTok, Reese had a message: “To anybody that’s been mean to me, and you’re having a hard time in life, good.”

Angel Reese continues to land ‘mebound’ criticism
The Chicago forward has set numerous WNBA records just two years into her professional career. Her 446 rebounds as a rookie set a top mark as did her 172 offensive boards.
She holds the record for consecutive double-doubles with 15, as well as most double-doubles by a rookie (26). This season, she became the fastest player in league history to reach 500 points and 500 rebounds.
Unfortunately, her rebound totals deserve an asterisk in many viewers’ eyes.

About one of every five rebounds across that first 500 came off of her own misses. In many instances, she’s seen cleaning up her own poor shooting on the glass.
Earlier this year, ESPN highlighted her awful accuracy at the rim with a brutal stat showing 0-for-7 shooting within four feet. That, too, was historic.
Reese’s shooting has improved of late, helping minimize the “mebound” noise.
She’s gone 50% from the field or better in six of her last eight games. That stretch includes eight double-doubles and four 20-point performances.
