Golden State Warriors Guard Buddy Hield Wore Wrong Shorts During Warriors-Timberwolves Game

The Golden State Warriors had a tall task in front of them on Tuesday, as they headed to Minnesota to play the Timberwolves on short rest. After beating the Rockets on the road in Game 7 of the first round of the NBA playoffs on Sunday, more travel to Minneapolis made things even harder.

Maybe that tiredness from all the travel made some players, like Buddy Hield, a bit absent-minded. That could explain why Buddy Hield somehow wore the wrong shorts during the game on Tuesday.

First things first, the Warriors got out to to a great start against Minnesota on Tuesday night, especially on the defensive end. Minnesota only had 22 points halfway through the second quarter, and a fast start by Steph Curry had helped them to a 36-22 lead. But, Curry left the game with a hamstring strain in the first half, and did not return. Nevertheless, the Timberwolves were just 5-29 from the three during the game. That allowed the Warriors to survive without Steph Curry , build a second-half lead as much as 20 points, and hang on to win, 99-88.

Buddy Hield was a big part of that. He had 24 points and was 5-8 from three. But, early in the game, he embarrassed himself. Take a look.

How did it get all the way to tip time without someone noticing? That seems like a huge drop of the ball by the Warriors’ equipment team.

Nevertheless, the Warriors got a huge road win, and Buddy was able to get the correct shorts.
