305-Pound Tennessee Football Recruit Smashes High School Record By Squatting 2X His Body Weight

Camden Goforth is one of the most underrated prospects in high school football. He continues to fly under the radar during the recruiting process, which will officially conclude with National Signing Day in February.

The Tennessee-native has approximately 11 months to decide where he wants to go to college!

As things currently stand, Goforth has 20 scholarship offers from programs as small as Bethel, Mercer and Stetson to programs as large as Memphis, Coastal Carolina, Tulane Liberty and Florida Atlantic. Power conference schools have yet to reach out but that could change in the next few months.

Goforth is listed at 6-foot-4, 305 pounds but that number may not reflect his playing weight come late August. McMinn County High School’s star interior lineman packed on muscle during the offseason. He recently smashed the school record in the squat rack with three full reps of 640 pounds.

To put that number in perspective, two offensive linemen at the University of Miami went viral in 2022 for squatting 700 pounds. They were fifth- and sixth-year players, so almost seven years older than Goforth. Texas A&M defensive lineman Landon Rink turned heads with a 605-pound squat as a senior in high school last year. LSU star Will Campbell could be the first offensive lineman drafted into the NFL in April. He put up a max squat of 616 pounds back in July.

Goforth put up 20+ pounds more than Campbell as a rising senior in high school and did three reps. That’s crazy! The Class of 2026 recruit also claims it was “nowhere near” his max.

I will not be surprised if SEC schools take notice of Camden Goforth during the early portion of his senior season. Raw strength aside, the tape speaks for itself.

To say that Goforth is a mauler would be understated. He even had his own ‘Blindside’ moment last fall.

There is still a very long way to go in the recruitment of Camden Goforth. I fully expect his offer list to grow exponentially over the next few months as his stock continues to rise. Remember the name!
