Running is one of the most common forms of exercise with an estimated 50-60 million American engaging in running or jogging. At some point, people who take their running seriously seek to ‘level up’ with new challenges which can take on various forms of races, marathons, last man standing ultra marathons, and so on and so forth.
Then there are folks like @far_fetched_fitness in Wisconsin who engage in running challenges for reasons unbeknownst to most. We have featured him here on BroBible before when he ran the ‘Culver’s Marathon‘ surviving on concrete mixers and deep-fried cheese curds. Now he’s back with the single worst running challenge we have ever seen.
Worst Running Challenge Ever? 100%
Most runners would fare better attempting a marathon untrained than this challenge, and it is only one mile!
Running challenge: eat a Carolina Reaper pepper and run one mile before being allowed to drink milk. In fact, the milk reward is at the end of the mile.
Carolina Reaper peppers measure 1,641,183 Scoville units and are the second-hottest peppers on planet earth, only trailing ‘Pepper X’ which very little is known about. For context, a jalapeño pepper measures 8,000 Scoville units. These two peppers live on different plants.
Capsaicin is an interesting compound. It is what causes the ‘heat’ in peppers as we eat them. Our bodies have a full physiological reaction where even our toes and head can ‘feel hot’ after eating a pepper. Carolina Reaper peppers are an all out assault on our bodies and as we see in this running challenge they make running a mile a true nightmare.

Interesting use of free will
I do love this guy’s videos. They’re all entertaining, albeit perplexing. He once ran a full marathon while circling a roundabout. He recreated ‘Michael Scott’s Fun Run’ from The Office complete with the fettuccine alfredo. But this…
He was clearly in pain. Carolina Reaper peppers are true form of torture. They are not meant to be eaten by mere mortals. Eating one and then running a mile, why? I know the answer is ‘views’ because I’m watching the video and sharing it with you all but I hope someone gets through to him and relays the message that body torture isn’t necessary.
