Transfer offensive lineman Carter Miller is set to suit up for the UCF Knights in the 2025 college football season. The veteran transferred into the program ahead of his redshirt junior year.

Miller spurned Big 12 rival Colorado with his commitment decision. He’s now commemorated his pledge to the Knights with a massive tattoo on his torso.

Miller’s entering his fourth season of college football with his third different program. After initially starting his career at James Madison, he moved onto Louisiana-Monroe in 2024.

He’s made 20 career starts dating back to his redshirt freshman year. He received Honorable-Mention All-Sun Belt honors last season.

Now, he’s taking his talents to the next level.

Carter Miller is headed to UCF.

He’ll soon suit up at the Power 4 level after spending his first three seasons in the Group of Five. While the move comes with a step up in competition, Miller is expected to make an immediate impact in the Knights offense.

UCF is entering a year of transition after moving on from Gus Malzahn. The team went 4-8 last year to mark a second straight losing season.

Former head coach Scott Frost will now return to take Malzahn’s place. His arrival had an impact on Miller’s recruitment.

Frost was hired in December of ’24. At the time, Miller was committed to Colorado. Less than a month after his December 15th pledge to the Buffs, he flipped.

Miller rejected Deion Sanders, and he now has a tattoo to celebrate it.

The ink took eight hours to complete. It spans the 300-pound lineman’s midsection.

Carter Miller’s tattoo is a commemoration of his UCF transfer. It depicts a knight riding into battle atop his trusty steed.

“I’m honored to represent UCF,” he said of the new addition. “This has been a dream since I was a little kid, to be able to play at a program like this… I was super excited to get this. It’s been a dream to play at a P4 school.”

UCF wasn’t his only P4 offer. In fact, he was Deion Sanders’ first transfer addition of the December 2024 cycle before changing his mind three weeks later.

So, while the new ink is a celebration of his current landing spot, it can also be seen as a commemoration of his decision to reject Colorado.
