Charles Barkley Looked Like He Was Going To Cry During Auburn’s Loss To Florida In The Final Four

Charles Barkley did not seem thrilled to watch Auburn lose to Florida on Saturday night. Auburn was eliminated from the NCAA tournament following a tough loss to Florida.

During halftime, Barkley, who attended Auburn, felt good about the team’s chances of winning the game.

“I hated the first five minute of the game; man, we don’t want to play at that pace,” Barkley said during halftime on the CBS broadcast. “I said coming in that ‘if the (score) was 70-75, Auburn’s going to win this game. If it goes above that, I think we’re going to struggle.’ But that was a perfect first half of basketball.”

Unfortunately, Auburn came up short after a heroic performance by Florida’s Walter Clayton Jr., and Barkley looked stressed out during the final minutes of the game.

Barkley spoke about Auburn’s loss after the game.

“The best team, our guys played valiantly, it was a heck of a game…Florida was the better team. Mr. Clayton is the real deal.”
