Charlie Kirk was honored by the UFC. Earlier this week, Kirk was fatally shot in the neck during an event in Utah.
Since then, several sports teams, including the NY Yankees and the Green Bay Packers, have held a moment of silence for Kirk.
“The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead,” President Trump announced on social media. “No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie. He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us. Melania and my Sympathies go out to his beautiful wife Erika, and family. Charlie, we love you!”
On Saturday night, the UFC honored Kirk during their UFC Noche event in San Antonio, Texas.

Kirk and UFC CEO Dana White have been friends for years.
Last year, Kirk took a photo with White with the caption “Dana White is based and he’s the best President of any sports league in the world.”
