The Minnesota Timberwolves took down the Phoenix Suns in NBA action on Wednesday, 121-113. The Suns held an advantage in the third quarter of that matchup before play was stopped for an ejection.

Minnesota coach Chris Finch was tossed midway through the period after landing his second technical foul. He immediately lost his mind on the sidelines.

Finch was frustrated with officiating throughout the matchup, leading to that early exit. He earned his first technical after using profanity towards an official before doubling up with “derogatory comments” ahead of his second tech. That latest offense resulted in ejection with his team down by two points.

The scene was a wild one, seeing star player Anthony Edwards run over to restrain his head coach. Meanwhile, Phoenix players seemed stunned by what was transpiring on the court.

Bradley Beal, who was attempting to inbound the basketball before Chris Finch’s explosion, got a front row seat to the interaction. His reaction to the situation immediately went viral.

The Suns were dumbfounded by the drama in the moment. They then looked lost when returning to the floor.

The Timberwolves went on a quick 18-7 run when play resumed, turning that two-point deficit into a nine-point lead. They’d go onto score 34 of the next 50 points after seeing their head coach tossed.

Chris Finch’s ejection seemed to spark the Minnesota offense. They scored a game-high 40 points in the fourth quarter. They never trailed after gaining the lead following their head coach’s exit. Phoenix, meanwhile, didn’t know what to do, both during and after the chaos. The Suns fell to 0-2 on the year against the Timberwolves after the collapse.
