No matter how hyped a baseball game gets, rushing the field is one move that never ends well. Sure, it might look like fun in the moment, but the consequences can stick with you. That reality became all too real for one fan at the Cincinnati Reds vs. Los Angeles Angels game.
For her, as she admitted later, the “intrusive thoughts won.”
TikTok Influencer Runs Onto The Field Mid-game
TikTok creator Julia (@mysteriousjulia_), who has 1.7 million followers, decided to document what happened after she sprinted across the field during the game. Her POV video has pulled in more than 7.8 million views.
The video first shows her dashing across the grass. Security quickly tackles her and puts her in handcuffs. The next shot cuts to her outside a police station at around 2:23am when she says she was freshly released from jail.
“Guys just got out of jail,” she says. “It’s like 2:00 a.m. I was in jail for, like, six hours.
“Honestly, I thought I was never going out for a second,” she adds. “I was so scared.”
In her caption, Julia summed it up with, “Intrusive thoughts got to the best of me.”
Another video, which has 2.1 million views, shows Julia outside the Anaheim jail, dancing to Tee Grizzley’s “First Day Out.”
“First day out,” reads her caption. “Was there all night.”
What Happens To Baseball Field Runners?
Videos featuring people running onto fields often go viral. But Julia’s videos offer some insight into what the aftermath looks like.
Legal troubles such as disorderly conduct and trespassing charges are just the start. In some cases, it can even escalate into aggravated trespassing. On top of that, you’re looking at a possible lifetime stadium ban.
Internet Reacts To Her Decision
Commenters couldn’t make sense of why she went through with it.
One person wrote, “Still wondering what made you do this.” Another added, “i love free will.”
Others questioned whether the stunt was worth the fallout. “Was it worth the lifetime ban tho,” one user asked.
Meanwhile, someone else joked, “Here she comes world, be kind to her.”
