OnlyFans owner Fenix International Ltd is in talks to sell the company to an investor group at a valuation of around $8 billion, three sources familiar with the matter told Reuters. The group is led by the Forest Road Company, a Los Angeles-based investment firm, the sources said. Reuters could not identify the investors in the group.

After news of the sale went viral, McGregor took to Instagram to claim that he is also currently in talks to buy OnlyFans.

An OnlyFans spokeswoman told the NY Post about the rumored sale.

“OnlyFans is a revolutionary platform which continues to lead the creator economy. As with any business of this scale it is natural that we are open to discussions about how we continue to build on our success,”

It’s currently unclear if McGregor is working with the Forest Road Company in their bid to buy OnlyFans, or if he’s working with another investment group trying to buy the company.
