Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Cooper DeJean is making an immediate impact in his rookie NFL season. The defender was selected by the franchise in the second round of the draft, and it hasn’t taken him long to secure a starting spot.

Through 11 games, he’d racked up 30 tackles while recording five pass breakups and a recovered fumble. On Sunday, he might’ve made his highlight hit of the season!

The Eagles took on the Ravens in frigid December weather as each looked to land a massive win. Philly would emerge victorious, winning 24-19 thanks to a big day from Saquon Barkley.

During the fourth quarter of action, DeJean did his part to ensure victory with his play on the defensive side of the ball. Baltimore trailed 21-12 late but was hoping to cut into that two-score deficit with the offense on the field. At one point in the drive, Lamar Jackson threw a swing pass to Derrick Henry. The running back was then met by Cooper DeJean near the line of scrimmage.

DeJean not only stopped the 247-pound Henry in his tracks, but he then lifted him off his feet and drove him to the ground. The Eagles’ bench lost it!

“[Derrick Henry] pile-driven into the ground by the rookie Cooper DeJean! The Eagles bench is going ballistic!”

A slow-motion replay of that hit makes it all the more impressive. It was an absolute decleater!

Derrick Henry is a large human being. Cooper DeJean wasn’t scared to meet him head on. The viral clip will be replayed by Eagles everywhere. Not many can say they’ve gotten the better of the Baltimore Ravens’ rusher!
